Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you will be involved in a wide variety of medical office
responsibilities, working side by side with physicians, from newborns to senior citizens.
This is a health care specialty that offers a set of unique challenges while assisting the
physician in examinations, diagnostic techniques and minor signs and medical histories,
explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, assisting
during the examination, drawing blood and giving injections. A neat, well-groomed
appearance and a courteous, pleasant manner are desirable traits.

Job Outlook & Earnings

According to the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Statistics, employment of
Medical Assistants is expected to grow much faster than the average for most occupations
thru the year 2014 due to anticipated expansion of the health services industry.
